Taylee's First Day of Preschool

Taylee started preschool this week. I cannot believe that we are at this stage already. She has an amazing teach and she just loves her. It makes me so sad to think that she is growing up so fast and turning into a beautiful little girl!

Little getaways...

Here is a small preview of our little weekend adventures that we have taken the past month. We have spent a fun day at Bear Lake and had a great Labor Day Weekend getaway to Jackson Hole Wyoming and Yellostone National Park. We had so much fun!

It's Began....

This time of year is the start of many things for us, Cody begins school, I start coaching volleyball, and Taylee will begin Pre-School. Then added in between these things are our normal work hours and routine responsiblities that we have to take of. I honestly don't know how we get through the day in one piece but we do. Thanks to help from some great family to help us out.
We are so excited that Cody is able to get his Master Degree be able to have a Graduate Assistantship to help get experience and to pay for school. We are not going to see him very much at all this next year between school, teaching, and working his School Bus driving job on the weekends. But that is okay. I keep telling myself, "One more year and he will be done with school".
I have started coaching volleyball again at Pocatello High School. It is a lot of fun and I really enjoy being around the sport again but it is A LOT of work and takes lots of time. We should have pretty good teams this year so I am excited. I have having a hard time juggling this new routine but give me a few more weeks and hopefully I will have it down to an art! :) Lets hope.
Taylee is so excited for Pre-School. I think that she is really going to love it and learn so much from it. I cannot believe that she is at that age already. It makes me sad to think of my little Taylee growing up and being so independant.
I just think of how really blessed we are, when we are away from home it is because we are able to work, when we don't see Cody it means that he is able to attend school, I clean and organize because we have a comfortable home to live in, we have to buy Taylee new clothes every season because Taylee is healthy and growing, we are happy and have so much joy because we have each other. When I get all wrapped up and consumed thinking about how busy we are and all that I need to do I just remind myself of these wonderful blessings. Life really couldn't be much better than this!

On Impulse...

So we were headed on our way home from our stay in Salt Lake on Saturday and we decided "hey, lets bid on a hotel room for tonight and if we get it we will stay if not we will go home." Well.....we won the bid and we ended up staying the night in Downtown Salt Lake Saturday night. It was so much fun. Taylee loved that we were going to stay in a hotel. We walked around Temple Square and took Taylee swimming at the hotel swimming pool. We had so much fun! We slept in and took our time coming home on Sunday. It was a pretty impulsive move but it was a very much needed one. We had so much together just us as a little family.
It was worth the stay!!

Tim McGraw

This last Friday night we went down to Salt Lake City to the TIM MCGRAW and Lady Antabellum and Love and Theft Concert. It was a blast!! My sister Tiffany and her husband Motor went with us. We had so much fun and the concert was AMAZING! Lady Antebellum was fantastic and Tim McGraw was AWESOME! (We were late getting there and missed Love and Theft) There were tons and tons of people, it was horribly hot, we had to stand in line forever and ever to buy a pop, and my sister and brother-in-law had to stand in line at will-call for over an hour just to get their tickets but despite it all....it was such a great night out!!

We had tickets for the lawn so we didnt' exactly have the closest of seats but it was fun anyways!!

Tim McGraw Lady Antabellum

Mom, Dad, and JP went down with us and were so great to watch the kids so we could go to the concert! Thanks you!! On Saturday we spent the day out shopping and just enjoyed each others' company! It was a great weekend!

Because I Have Been Given Much...

Lately I have been feeling so grateful for so so many things in my life. I have been truly blessed with so much:
  • My wonderful husband. He does so much for our family. He never complains and he puts 100% into everything that he does!

  • I am so grateful that Cody is able to get his education and has been greatly blessed to be able to continue his education to begin his Masters.

  • Taylee....We are so blessed that she is a happy and healthy little girl. Who knew that just great blessings could come in such a spirited girl?!

  • My small and comfortable little home

  • My quiet and sweet little neighborhood....I have the best neighbors by the way!

  • The opportunity to be a Mom. It truly is the BEST job in the entire world.

  • That I learn so much about myself from being a mom. It gives me the motivation and the desire to be a better person.
  • Cody and I are so lucky to have such wonderful parents who are such great examples and show us unfailing love and support!

  • the sweet and innocent smiles and words of love from Taylee! She gives the best hugs!!

  • this may sound silly....but my bed. The fact that I can lay down to sleep at night in a peaceful and safe place.

  • my health.

  • those little moments that remind me how really blessed I am when I am down and blue.

  • I am grateful that I can laugh at myself when I have those "blonde" moments.

  • that I was able to be raised in the gospel and taught those sweet principles by such great parents.

  • I am mostly and ultimately grateful for the knowledge I have that no matter my trials, my downfalls, my short comings, and my definite imperfectness, that I still have the endless love of my Heavenly Father and my Savior. And that through them I can overcome any trial, correct any imperfection, and become a better person. There is only one way to true and complete Joy and that is through the gospel of Jesus Christ.

Boise Trip/Cody's Birthday

Happy 27th Birthday Cody!!

We celebrated Cody's birthday by taking a very fun weekend trip to Boise and Twin Falls with my Mom and Dad, JP, and Wes and Katie and their kids.

We went to Roaring Springs, which was a BLAST, and then went and stayed with my Brother Wes and his family in Twin Falls. We went out to eat at Cafe Ole and they sang to Cody and he had to wear the Sombrero of coarse. It was great! It was such a fun weekend to get away and to hang out with family!

We love you Cody!

Oh and a side note......Cody and I first met on his birthday 6 years ago, so Happy Anniversary babe!!
