First Day of Kindergarten

Today was Taylee's first day of Kindergarten!!

She did so great! No tears and she didn't cling to me when I went to leave....however as for me....I clinged to her and I shed the tears!! How does that work? I end up needing her more than she needs her mom!! She had a great day though. She really enjoyed school. A few highlights of some of her favorite things from today....
  • Eating the school lunch
  • Playing on the toys at recess
  • Seeing the books
  • Drawing
  • Playing with the kids
The only thing that could have made the day better for her she says is that she could have road the BUS home!! She sure loves the yellow school buses.....(ever since she has been able to understand that her dad drives the school buses, she has been dying to ride them...now she gets her chance).

Graduation

On Friday we were able to go and celebrate Cody's Graduation from Graduate School at his Hooding Ceremony. He isn't officially graduated yet, he will be done in July, but this ceremony is a great honor for graduate students that they offer for 2010 summer, 2010 Fall, Spring 2011, and Summer 2011 Graduates. We are so very proud of him!! My parents were able to come up and attend and Cody's parents also came with us. It was a great night just celebrating all that Cody has done and accomplished! He has worked so hard and he is continueing to do so as he is preparing for his final written and oral exams. Wish him luck!!!

What's new....

I haven't posted anything for months, and everytime I try to write a new post I can' think if anything to put because it feels like there is nothing that has happened since my last post. However, I am wrong, there have been quite a few things that have happened:

1. In January, we went on a FUN weekend getaway with some friends to Island Park!!

Thanks Shiloh and Heidi!!

2. In March, we went on a trip to DISNEYLAND!!!! My mom was able to come with us! It was so fun!

3. Taylee turned "5"!!! (At disneyland, what a lucky and spoiled girl she is) I cannot believe that she is already five years old! I just registered her for kindergarten....holy cow! She is turning into the tallest, skinniest, and cutest little five year old EVER!

4. Cody is finishing up his LAST FULL SEMESTER OF GRAD SCHOOL!!!! HOOOOOORAAAAYYY!!! Only 6 weeks of summer school left, his written and oral exam and he will be all finished and be a "MASTER" by July!! :) So proud of him!

Oh.........and..........

5. Believe it or not.......We are expecting a baby! I am due on October 3 and we find out in a couple of weeks what we are having (hopefully) :) !

Life has been pretty good!!

**Snow Storm**

Call me crazy but I have loved the snow storms we have had lately! We have gotten so much snow! Leave it to good ole' Idaho weather to bring on the snow storms early. Hopefully the snow will stick around through Christmas!

Short and Sweet

It has been a while so here is a really "Short and Sweet" overview of a view highlights of the last few months.
HALLOWEEN: Taylee had a BIG Halloween all starting off with a party at preschool on that Thursday, trick-or-treat at my work on Friday, and then a Trunk-or-Treat with my In-laws ward. Needless to say come Saturday I was pretty lazy at dressing her up so she was a "Jazz Fan". It actually was the best costume, she got LOTS AND LOTS of candy. This is what people would tell her, "We LOVE the Jazz!", "Go JAZZ" and then they would give her a handful of candy!! It was awesome. The other two days she was a Fifties Girl but I failed to take any pictures of that costume.

FAMILY PICTURES: We finally got our family pictures taken and I think that they turned out pretty cute.

RECENTLY: And just last night......Taylee literally drew herself to sleep!! TOO CUTE!
